Tuesday morning (the 19th) went very well. I really love teaching pre-school again. Even though it is one morning a week it fills me up and helps me to feel useful and productive again.
That afternoon, Kalie went to Art class again. I am so proud of the progress she is making. I am hoping and praying that next year we can do some type of co-op class. Samantha Bell (the instructor) is a wonderful teacher. Kalie loves to go to her class and is learning so much. We are extending the lessons at home. Samantha gives the students a one page “bio” about the artist they are studying to take home and explains about who the artist was. We found a PERFECT notebooking page for free at http://www.notebokingpages.com/ that has helped us create an Artist Notebook. I will post pictures of her notebook and projects later.
On Tuesday evening I had a Girl Scout Leader meeting. So Kalie and I went and spent over 2 hours being “leaderized”.
As Tuesdays go it was a very good day!

Where have we been and what have we been doing?
I did not realize it had been so long since I had blogged. I guess we have been very busy. LOL! Our Girl Scout Valentine’s Day party (on the 18th) was a huge success. We did almost nothing but socialize, which the girl’s needed. We did decorate bags to take the Valentine’s home in. I thought this might take the girls 10 minutes, but they were having so much fun talking and playing. I decided … who needs to play Girl Scout Bingo. I just let them talk and giggle and create for 30 minutes. We exchanged Valentine’s ate lots of sugar snacks drank pop and had a blast. It was our best meeting ever!

Happy Valentine's Day!
OK! I know we are a bit late. I could give excuses such as we were sick, but I guess you should know now that is how we are. LOL! I am still working on my Christmas card list. (Which have turned into New Years, then Valentine's and now Easter cards, as the list goes on ... maybe the end of the alphabet will get 4th of July cards, who knows.)
Tonight my scout troop is having their Valentine's Day party! YEA! Amy (my friend, asst. leader and a fellow homeschooling mom) and I were talking this weekend. One of the few things that I "miss" about public school (my older daughters went to ps for all of the elementary grades) is the "parties". Especially Valentine's Day. Hopefully tonight will give Kalie that experience. More later as we have to clean the house (meeting is here tonight and we did nothing for 6 days), run errands and do some sort of school all before 6:00. HELP! LOL!

We are better!
Kalie and I are feeling better. Today I woke up with the thought ... I might not have to take any sinus meds today. Thank you Lord! I have not had a "common cold" for a few years. I had forgotten how miserable they were. Thank you so much for the kind thoughts and prayers!

Thursday ~ Still CRUDDY!
This cold is hanging on and beating me. I am so tired and crabby and cranky! We spent most of the day doing a bunch of nothing. Kalie watched Disney channel for most of the day. I didn’t take a shower until 6:00 and Kalie is now in the bathtub. I am hoping that she will be ready for bed soon ( it is only 8:00) as I am already tired.
We had plans to bring the girls Valentine's treats, but it did not happen. Kasie did surprise us this afternoon with presents! She dropped them off on her way out with her friends. I was sleeping so at first I thought it was a dream. She gave Kalie a pair of Hannah Montana pj's. She was so excited! Kasie gave me a bunch of daisies (my favorite flower) and a package of Dove Dark Chocolate (also my favorite)! It was a very nice surprise!
Kalie is starting to feel better. She was asking if we could do some school work. She said that she would even do "reading" or handwriting. LOL! She also reminded me that we had not done our Bible study at all this week. (We are doing the lessons from Calvary Chapel and creating a bible notebook.) I felt guilty but yet proud at the same time. Guilty that I have been focused on me and my health and not towards the Lord, and proud that she is "loving" reading the Bible and wants to learn.
I hope and pray that tomorrow is a better day.
